ONE. : WELCOME TO CAPTAIN SPAULDING'S MUSEUM OF MONSTERS AND MADMEN! i'm rae and i'll be your tour guide. i'm 29, non–binary, and use they/them pronouns. central timezone which is also gmt -5. i am mentally ill and disabled with chronic physical conditions. mentally, i have autism spectrum disorder, adhd, depression, anxiety, and c-ptsd. physically, i have several spinal disorders and current knee problems. plus, i work 40 hours a week on top of all of that. because of this, all of my blogs have extremely sporadic activity.with that being said, please do not ever expect timely responses or high activity. i do lurk a lot, but that doesn't mean i have the spoons to actually be productive. sometimes i take a very long time to reply. especially with plotted threads because i want to give it everything i have. it's never because i'm not interested, i'm just very slow! i want that out of the way off the bat so you don't get the wrong idea here. :)TWO. : I RARELY FOLLOW FIRST! this was a decision made for not only my comfort, but the comfort of potential mutuals. i got stuck in a loop where it felt i followed people and they followed me back with no interest or intention to write with me. i am not follow for follow, if i follow you, i want to write with you. sometimes my chronic illnesses and mental illnesses make the reaching out slow, but i can promise, if i follow you, i want to write with you.THREE. : I TAKE SEVERAL THINGS INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN FOLLOWING BACK. i'm not comfortable with minors following me as i am 29 and this is a blog that shouldn't be seen, nor interacted with, by anyone under 21. characters under 16–17 also make me uncomfy and we will need to be acquaintances prior to me being okay writing with said muses.aside from that, i general just want to make sure that i can see our characters interacting. i do love alternate universes and crossovers, i'm very pro–original characters, canons, duplicates, etc. so i try to keep an open mind. i also want to make sure us as writers are compatible, if our writing styles will mesh, etc. i have a hard enforced rule that unless we are already mutuals on another blog of yours, if you don't have a rules page , i won't follow back. period. it's a comfort measure for myself.this goes without saying, but as this is my safe space, i reserve the right to follow or not follow whoever i so choose. if you make me uncomfortable for any reason whatsoever i will softblock or hardblock according to the severity. i also reserve the right to break mutuals at any point. do know that if i do break mutuals i will softblock you and request the same courtesy if you ever choose to do the same. i will never ask you why, i will never question your decision to do so. i ask that you do the same for myself should the roles be reversed.FOUR. : I WILL NOT INTERACT WITH THE FOLLOWING FACES OR CHARACTERS : cartoon characters / characters in general without live–action fcs (drawings / cartoons make me uncomfy), deceased persons (circumstantial, canons may be exceptions), persons who do not wish to be used in roleplay, amber heard, ansel elgort, ariana grande, armie hammer, bella thorne, bill skarsgard, chris pratt, eddie redmayne, eiza gonzález, elizabeth olsen , emma roberts, emma stone, evan peters, ezra miller, ian somerhalder, jeremy renner, kj apa, machine gun kelly, megan fox, nina dobrev, robert downey, jr., scarlett johansson (never, especially not as natasha romanoff), zoë kravitz, any whitewashed fcs for characters in general.the characters i do not want any association with are as follows and specific reasoning can be found at the link below : any 13rw characters, ash williams, billy hargrove, cobra kai muses (unless we're friends prior, just from bad experiences), elena gilbert & katherine pierce, freddy krueger, hydra muses / verses excluding bucky barnes, kilgrave, nate jacobs, nick goode, tate langdon, white washed maximoffs + characters of any kind.i do want to note that all characters/faceclaims above who are not problematic and it's just my personal preference to not interact with them—— if you're a multimuse i will still follow you, i just won't write with that specific face/character.if you're curious about why someone has landed there, i do have a couple of them explained as to why i feel so strongly at this link. (the link is mobile friendly!) re : tate langdon do not follow me or interact in any way if you write or ship with anyone who writes tate. the link above has a more in–depth explanation of my issues with him. i don't wish to associate with anyone supporting / romanticizing a rapist and school shooter.because of this, i will be weary of following back anyone writing violet harmon. that's not to say i won't follow back ever, but i just want to make sure you're not romanticizing that ship before i follow. if i follow and you wrtie tate and violet in the future, i will hardblock on sight because you've completely misunderstood the assignment, shipping with her mother's rapist.

FIVE. this also goes without saying, but I WILL NOT TOLERATE any racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, anti semitism, islamophobia, whorephobia (i am a retired swer and this is very important to me), ableism, or any other form of bigotry. rule!63 / genderbent / genderswapped / whatever you want to call it muses, is extremely offensive to me as a non–binary person under the trans umbrella and as a trans ally. i've seen the excuse that people don't feel comfortable portraying a trans person, but want their muse the opposing binary gender. that is not an excuse. if you don't want to write them as a transgender person, don't fucking do it at all. i will not tolerate any of the above.i also will not interact with you in any way if you write those topics in such a way that romanticizes them. i won't interact with anyone who writes or supports: incest (including step–cest / adoptive siblings), pedophilia, rape, and the like. do not give me the "fiction doesn't equal reality" speech either. it's true, but it's not an excuse to be fucking disgusting.SIX. : I DON'T PARTICIPATE IN , NOR TOLERATE DRAMA OF ANY KIND. i don't want it on my dash / feed, i don't want dragged into it, i don't want it anywhere near me. i don't want to see any callouts either unless it's because the subject is a danger to the rpc. predators should absolutely be put on blast and we as a rpc should know about it, but that's different than a grudge you have against someone for petty personal reasons.SEVEN. : THIS BLOG RARELY WRITES SMUT. not because i don't enjoy it, but i just don't really see a purpose in it when i struggle to stay actively writing as it is. i'll write it on discord or a sideblog, but the extent you'll see on my blog in regards to sexual nature is appropriately tagged headcanons, shitposts, my general dumbassery, etc. for tags relating to sexual nsfw content, you can blacklist them as usfw /. other nsfw themes on this blog are going to happen due to the nature of this blog and the muse on it. that can range to but not limited to: abuse, alcohol use, drug use, gore, violence, etc. i do my very best to tag all things i think could be even potentially triggering. i use the format trigger /.my own personal triggers are as follows: abortion (hospital / procedure visuals when it's known that's what's happening eg. cassie on euphoria), cancer / terminal illness, child loss / miscarriage, eye gore, medication overdose, relapses in self–harm, suicide attempts, and trypophobia (little clusters of holes). the blanket tag of #rae don't look can be used if you're not sure.EIGHT. : THIS BLOG IS PRO–SHIPPING i am a gigantic shipping enthusiast so long as there's some chemistry there. that doesn't mean we have to sit down and plot for 5 years, but i want to be comfortable with you as a writer before anything. even if that's just us chatting ooc and clicking. now, even though i've said this, i usually don't have a problem with shipping and will usually say yes. i'm also very fond of pre–established ships of any kind but i don't enjoy having ships forced on me. please don't do it. in turn, i won't ever intentionally push ships on you. i may be enthusiastic, but if you ever feel i'm forcing a ship on you, please let me know. sometimes that enthusiasm can project loudly and i don't want you to feel uncomfortable.NINE. : YOUR STANDARD RULES APPLY , don't godmod, don't pressure for replies, be respectful, etc. miscellaneous disclaimer that i do format and sometimes use icons, but i don't care how you format as long as you cut your posts and don't use page width gifs on replies. if you ever need me to chill out on the formatting, use something different, not format all together, etc. please don't hesitate to let me know. your accessibility will always trump my aesthetics and i'm constantly trying to do better with this.TEN. : DISCLAIMERS. i don't own shit except my interpretations of my characters and that's not even really owning it. i do own the creation of my original characters. i'm not affiliated to the faceclaims or medias mentioned, nor people affiliated with the aforementioned. i'm just a dumbass clown rping as a hobby.ELEVEN. : PROPER CREDITS.
